Section 189
Disposition versions
189. The installation, modification, replacement and operation of any apparatus or equipment to treat feed water prior to its use for purposes other than human consumption, on the following conditions:
(1) where process water from the apparatus or equipment is discharged into the environment, it has first been treated by a treatment system that is covered by an authorization or a declaration of compliance or that is exempted from such an authorization;
(2) where the wastewater from an establishment, excluding domestic wastewater, and process water from the apparatus or equipment are discharged into a sewer system governed by the Regulation respecting municipal wastewater treatment works (chapter Q-2, r. 34.1), the combined flow of those waters is less than 10 m3 per day.
189. The installation, modification, replacement and operation of any apparatus or equipment to re-treat water from a waterworks system prior to its use in a production process are exempted from authorization pursuant to this Subdivision.
